Tune into Kabaret for David Lawrence and the Spoonful, recorded live at one of Denver's newest watering holes and live music venues, Number Thirty Eight. On top of David's existing Original Blues-Roots repertoire, 'The Spoonful' will be highlighting their Old School Country influences, ranging from Hank Williams & Willie Nelson to Johnny Cash & Ernest Tubbs. Featured 'Spoonful' members include internationally touring bluegrass fiddler Coleman Smith, Upright Bass player and jazz specialist Bob Songster, plus Veteran Drummer Doug Bainbridge on the skins. A poet at heart, David’s original sound combines evocative imagery and storytelling with infectious melodies and rich, layered guitar playing. True to his musical roots, David’s music is raw, gritty, soulful and full of heart.
