Jessie Burns grew up in England in a large and musical family, surrounded with Irish Culture and music through her Dad's side of the family. She has been playing multiple instruments including the violin since the age of 8. Jessie has recorded with many musicians including Gregory Allan Isakov, The Mollie O’Brien Band and The Bowtides to name a few. She is best known for the six years she spent touring internationally with American Irish Super-group, Gaelic Storm with whom she recorded three #1 Billboard World Music hit albums. She currently teaches fiddle and piano, recording, producing fiddle workshops and playing traditional Irish fiddle with Female Fiddling Trio The Bowtides and Boulder based Take Down the Door as well as playing Bluegrass/Americana fiddle in front range based band, Ran off the Rooster. Jessie resides with her husband, bass player Eric Thorin, in Lyons, Colorado. Eric Thorin is a native Coloradan and proud resident of Lyons since 2001. He is a bassist and composer. Nominated for a Grammy for 2020 Danny Barnes’ recording Man on Fire, cancelled engagements with Jerry Douglas, Danny Barnes, Nick Forster and sold out concerts with local legends Take Down the Door were just a few of the consequences of recent COVID-19 pandemic. Eric is sadly missing the weekly Tuesday Lyons Jam at Oskar Blues he and KC Groves started nearly two decades ago. Much more music hoping to happen with The Matt Flinner Trio and Tony Furtado and the immaculate Bonnie Paine.
