Biography: Ginger Perry started radio back in the day at a small station in Boulder called KRNW -- named for the owner's initials, Robert Neil Wilkinson -- which got sold to KBCO. She continued her radio career at the burgeoning KGNU when it was just starting. She had her own soul show there on Saturday nights. Relocating to CT briefly, she was on WPKN out of Bridgeport, CT. A long hiatus ensued until John Penman died and Madame Andrews decided to take a break and Ginger stepped in to the Gospel Chime Hour. Eventually Highway 322 and MSA got added to her repertoire of shows. From 1984 to 2004, Ginger produced black gospel concerts at Chautauqua Auditorium -- The Gospel Extravaganza, featuring local and national acts. Journalism and p.r. have been her livelihood. She was music director at Swallow Hill Music Association at one time and she considers music to be her life blood. To quote Shawn Colvin -- "if there were no music, I could not get by." She loves to be able to share her music with her audiences on KGNU.
