Biography:  Elk Bugles’ host Lisa Wheeler’s first radio job was changing out reel-to-reel tapes, from midnight to six a.m., at a Pueblo “beautiful music” station, back in 1979 (which might contribute to her dislike of Mantovani). She left Colorado, in 1981, to pursue a lengthy career in television / radio news, and later, public relations, only to finally return back home, in 2015. A record collector since grade school, she has written about her interests in various publications and blogs. She is on a mission to promote the esoteric recordings of Colorado - the records missing from the state’s music history books. d
