Exactly one year and 13 days ago Animal / object played the KGNU Kabaret.
That was a bittersweet session because it would be the last time our friend and bandmate Steve Gordon played with A/o.
Here is a recording of that session…
Steve died from pancreatic cancer on April 30th, surrounded by Lilacs and his music therapist playing a Ukulele for him.
This year A/o will be playing a set list that Steve put together for us.
Some of his favorite A /o songs we played over the years. A set list from the past…intended for the future…to be played in the present. Tonight is the present.
Please join Animal / object live on KGNU Radio Kabaret as we celebrate our friend Steve Gordon.

Show info posted by the Host: The Firstimers ... more
The members of firstimers have played many different kinds of music in a variety of bands over the years, from Denise’s drumming in The Get It, Turbo Knife Fight, Upon the Über-Tomato, and SpöojHämmer, Andrew’s guitar in Tiger Beat, MagFlyEmu, and Veronica, and Jason's experimental bass in SoulCracker and The Stranger.
Together they’ve created a sound which draws on the influences of punk, country, and bossanova to play songs that wrap storytelling lyrics in catchy melodies with solid, driving rhythms that push your body to move.
