They performed a dynamic set as the second band to take the stage for an amazing weekend of music. Chris "Critter" Eldridge is most widely known as a guitarist and singer with the Punch Brothers. Julian Lage is a Jazz guitarist and composer.

RockyGrass Archives 2014: The Railsplitters kicked off the 2014 RockyGrass festival in fine style. The group delivered a remarkable set that we broadcast live from the stage on KGNU's airwaves on Friday morning. The band features Lauren Stovall (vocals), Peter Sharpe (mandolin), Dusty Rider (banjo), Leslie Ziegler (bass), and Christine King (fiddle).

RockyGrass Archives 2014: For over 30 years Hot Rize has defined Colorado's traditional yet progressive bluegrass sound. The band was sounding truly hot as they made their way onto the stage for their 17th RockyGrass performance. The lineup consists of Tim O’Brien (vocals, mandolin, fiddle), Pete Wernick (banjo, vocals), Nick Forster (bass), Bryan Sutton (guitar).

RockyGrass Archives 2014: Growing up in the cradle of country music, southern Virginia's Carroll County, James King found his inspiration in the gospel music of the Stanley Brothers. James learned to match the inflections and emotions in Carter's vocals, and by the 1980s was a featured member of Ralph Stanley's Clinch Mountain Boys. Joining James for his first RockyGrass since 1999 are Rodney Worley (mandolin), Merle Johnson (fiddle), Mitch Walker (banjo), and John Marquess (bass).

RockyGrass Archives 2014: Multi-instrumentalist Matt Flinner brought his current creative project, the Matt Flinner Trio to RockyGrass for the first time. The group consists of Matt Flinner (mandolin), Ross Martin (guitar), and Eric Throin (bass). The trio assembled for an instrumental summit on Sunday afternoon.

RockyGrass Archives 2014: It's hard not to notice when a grand piano rolls onto the Planet Bluegrass festival grounds during a Bluegrass festival. But indeed it did and with it one of the hottest sets of 2014's RockyGrass festival. Ricky Skaggs & Bruce Hornsby with Kentucky Thunder brought the house down with their Friday night headlining set.

Legendary band Negativland brought a version of their weekly radio broadcast (Over the Edge, on the air since 1981) to the live stage for the very first time, mixing music, found sounds, found dialog, scripts, personalities, and sound effects within a radio theater-of-the-mind. "It's All In Your Head FM" is a two-hour-long, action-packed look at monotheism, the supernatural God concept, and the all-important role played by the human brain in our beliefs.

Communikey Archives 2008: Pole is the artistic name of Stefan Betke. Born in Düsseldorf, Pole is best known for his glitchy dubbed out sounds. Pole performed a live set during the festival finale at Trilogy to close out the 1st Edition of the Communikey Festival of Electronic Arts. The festival finale was our first live broadcast from a Communikey event.
