Biography: Gretchen Troop lives the soul~funk music she spins monthly for "Dusty Grooves". She has been a professional singer in New York City, San Francisco and the Denver area since 1990. In San Francisco with her band "Sideways" she crafted original soul~funk music as a funky lead-bass band with soulful lyrics and vocals on top. After a move to the Denver area in 2003 she discovered that the soul~funk music that was common in the Bay Area was not as well known here in Colorado. She has been working as a DJ at KGNU on Dusty Grooves since 2010 and enjoys spreading the beautiful soul~funkiness monthly.
