Biography: Howdy, my name is Dave Alexander or on-air DJ davealex. My passion for DJing started while in 7th grade when our student council didn't have the money to fund a school dance - I carried in my dad's speakers, a turntable and cassette deck and made the party happen! I formally started DJing on the radio at KUCB Radio at the University of Colorado. My passion for club music took me to the clubs and radio where I would DJ full-time in the Boulder/Denver area. During this time I was the buyer for electronic music for a local record store and started to produce electronic music and form multiple bands including Multicast, Freq Modif, Chillout Enforcement Crew and the record label Obliq Recordings. Stylistically over the years, my shows specialized in 80s new wave, gothic and punk, ambient and experimental, electro, acid and warehouse techno.
During my shows you can expect, live all-vinyl mixed set of curated electronic music from the 70s into the 20s spanning sub-genres.
